Well school has officially been over for almost two weeks now. We are starting to settle into our summer routine of swimming, playing, and relaxing.
The end of the school year for Jack was so fun. They had field day which he thought was great because he got to stay outside "for the whole day"! Then he had a beach day to wrap up his ocean unit. They all wore their bathing suits and did fun things inside and had pools and surfing type activities set up outside. His "big buddy" (a fifth grade girl that has kind of mentored him all year) got to come as well and they had a little goodbye ceremony. My friend Karina (her daughter Finley is in Jack's class) was wonderful enough to take Will and Drew so that I could go and be apart of the day.
After the last day of school (6/2) we got a bunch of the kids together at Karina's for a last day of school party. It was a warm day so the kids played in the pool and slip-n-slide and we even had a graduation cake! Welcome to first grade guys!
