The first week...

Well we survived the first week of school. Jack started second grade last Monday the 24th and Will started kindergarten on Wednesday the 26th. Both are loving school and really excited to be back. Andrew starts preschool in about 2 weeks! Soccer started up again last week too so are quiet days of summer are officially over! Here are some pictures from last week.

Jack is soooo excited to get back!

All smiles!

Will is so excited to finally be going to kindergarten! So wound up!

Lining up outside his classroom....he looks a little anxious now! It only lasted for the first day. Now he marches right in like he owns the place!

July.....

I know....it has been awhile! We had a great vacation out east to Connecticut and Cape Cod. We got back home two 1/2 weeks ago (sorry blogger has not been cooperating!!) and have been trying to get settled back in.

We had such a great trip. We arrived in Connecticut on Wednesday around lunch time. On Thursday we drove up to New Hampshire to visit with my Nanny and aunts, uncles, and cousins there. We had a great lunch at the park and the boys had fun seeing everyone again (it had been 2 years). It was so great that everyone was able to meet little Hailey girl. We drove back to Suffield that night. On Friday Kevin and Brady got into town. I hadn't seen Brady in a year and he has gotten so ridiculously cute!

On Saturday we left for Cape Cod. We spent the next week playing at the beach on the sunny days and checking out the towns and playing mini golf etc on the not so sunny days-we had a few. We went to the beaches on the bay side so when the tide goes out there are lots of tidal pools for the kids to play in. They loved catching hermit crabs, fish, shrimp, snails, and whatever else they could find. On Wednesday we went to a program at the National Seashore where the kids got to do some more exploring. Uncle Jason came along and helped find some big green crabs which the boys thought was great. On Friday we were so happy to be able to meet up with our old neighbors from Georgia. Pam is from the Boston area and always vacations on the Cape. It just so happened that they were there the same week as us. The boys hadn't seen in each other in almost 2 1/2 years. We spent a few hours playing at the park! On Saturday we packed up and came back to Suffield.

On Sunday we were able to spend the afternoon with Beth, Mike, Zoe, and Phoebe. The boys had a great time swimming and playing catch with Mike! Andrew and Zoe were so cute together just chatting away like they were old friends. Wish that we were closer so we could see them more often.

We flew home Monday afternoon. Tim was waiting for us at the airport and we were thrilled to see him. We have gotten back into a lazy summer routine around here. Swim team and baseball ended as we left for vacation so we have the next few weeks so relax. Lots of time at the pool, reading, playing games, and playing outside for sure! School starts the 24th!!!
