Some baby girl pics!

I went for my 28 week check up yesterday and we had another ultrasound to check on the size of the baby. She was measuring big at my 24 week check up so they wanted to keep an eye on her size. She is measuring in the 58%ile so pretty average. They calculated her weight to be about 2 lbs 13 oz. Besides my iron being low (it happens every time...) everything looked great (passed the glucose test too!). It was confirmed for sure that it is a girl too! After seeing it twice I think that we really believe it now! We have a few new pictures to share below:

Looking at her face- can see her eyes, nose and mouth

Another picture of her face

A side profile with her arm up parallel to her face. The black on the upper right is her brain!

Besides baby news, the basement refinishing is coming along great. They started last Monday and have made great progress I think. It is all framed and the plumber, electrician, and hvac guys have all done their thing. Our contractor said that we should be ready for the first inspection tomorrow or Friday and then they can start the drywall. Hopefully it will be done ahead of schedule. I will send some pictures soon.

We just had a visit from my mom, aka Nana. She came for a few days to visit with the boys. Everyone had a great time and Tim and I actually got to go on a date night! The boys miss her but she will be back in January around baby time!

Happy Halloween!!!

We had a great Halloween here. Tim was able to take the day off which was wonderful. We went to the zoo in the morning which the boys loved. Tim doesn't get to go with us very often so the boys thought it was great. Will was so excited to show Daddy the mountain lion exhibit. Usually they are asleep on a rock but one was awake in the corner. It was really watching the boys, especially Andrew, and then it got into a pouncing position. When Andrew moved a little, it came pouncing right in front of us- right by Andrew. I have a tremendous fear of mountain lions. In Colorado, they are one of the big things that you always have to be aware of when hiking- especially with little kids. Now I know why....lovely! Just reinforcing what I already fear!!

Andrew talking to the gorilla!

The boys carved pumpkins with Daddy in the afternoon and then got ready for some trick-or-treating. Jack was Annakin Skywalker, Will a Blue Power Ranger, Andrew a monkey, and Tim was Jack Sparrow. The big boys were of course excited and Andrew just followed their lead. He didn't want to eat dinner- just go trick-or-treating. They were out for almost two hours and got through most of the neighborhood. Tim brought the wagon for Andrew to try help him keep up with Jack and Will. They had a great time and ate too much candy when they got home!

Last but not least our own Jack Sparrow!

The big boy bed....

Okay so it's been awhile. My wonderful brother just pointed out to me that it has been over a month- unheard of I know! We have just been in school/soccer/ cub scouts/re mode and busy, busy, busy. The weeks are flying by. Hard to believe that I am almost 26 weeks already- this baby will be here before I know it.

Will had his back to school night last Thursday. Very cute. They sing some of their songs and get to introduce their friends. Tim had not seen his classroom yet, so Will was very excited. I only have one picture because somehow the camera battery died right then (it never has to be charged!!!). Oh well.... one is better than none! He is sitting between his two Jack friends!

The other big news of the week is that Andrew now has a big boy bed!! We decided to get him a full instead of a twin so that when we have company they can sleep in his room! He slept in it for the first time on Monday night. He was very excited when everyone was in his room but as soon as we turned out the light he got very serious. He laid on his back and didn't move. I went to check on him after about 1/2 hr of no noise and he was still lying there still as could be wide awake! Poor little guy was nervous I guess. I just had him roll over on his tummy like he did in his crib and he was out in five minutes. He does a lot of talking about it but gets really serious when it is time to get in. He has done fine though for two nights and two naps!! He hasn't tried to escape his room either so that is good! We still have to rearrange his room and take the crib out. Because of where the heating vents are we are going to have to move dressers and what not. Maybe this weekend....

Helping Daddy get the railing ready!

Everyone is so excited.....
Ready for bed!

Other than that we are just very busy around here. We are starting the remodel on the basement in 12 days!!! Yeah!! I am very anxious to just get it started and get it done. We'll send some pictures once there is progress!

One other bit of happy news! Tim's sister Nicki and her husband John had their first baby- John Timothy Cooper- last Friday! We are so excited and can't wait to meet him. The boys are very excited to have a new cousin!

It's a........!!!

Well, we had our ultrasound yesterday! You may all need to sit down for this.....it's a girl!!!For those that didn't sit down you may now pull yourself up of the floor! The radiologist said that there is no doubt that it is a girl- believe me we asked many times if she was sure! We are very excited and still kind of trying to take it all in. I am not used to saying "her" and "she"! Most importantly though, she looked super perfect and healthy. We had another 3D ultrasound so it was super clear and we could see soooo much. We were able to see all 4 chambers of the heart clear as could be, the different parts of the brain, we saw her swallowing and the fluid in her stomach and bladder. It is truly amazing!

The boys are excited too. Jack has expressed some concern over having girl toys in the house but overall they are looking forward to having a little sister! Will already asked yesterday if we could go buy her some little girl Bronco clothes! Oh...we will!

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound. She is so much bigger that she was 9 weeks ago that I have a few face pictures and one of her cute feet!

You can see her face- eyes and nose. Her hand is up by her face.A side profile of her face- one hand is by her mouth and the other is by her forehead.

Some cute footsies and skinny little legs! Her feet look so big!

Back track a little....

Okay, so with all of the first day of school stuff going on I forgot to mention our fun trip to St.Louis over Labor Day weekend. We went back for Tim's sisters baby shower (she is due next month-yeah!!!). We caravaned out with Matt, Beth, and the kids. We arrived very late Friday night. On Saturday we got up and all went to Grant's farm. The kids had a blast seeing all of the animals and shows. They had an area where the kids could go in and feed the baby goats from a bottle. The kids enjoyed that until the goats started nibbling on Andrew's shorts and he wanted out!!!

Nicki's shower was in the late afternoon and evening and was really fun. She looks great and got lots of fun and cute baby boy things!

On Sunday we went to Tim's Uncle Kevin's house for a pool party. The boys had lots of fun swimming and goofing around. They were completely wiped out when we left to go to Gmom and Gpop's that night. We got up very early on Monday morning and headed back to CO. Definitely a quick but fun trip!

Another week of firsts...

Will and Andrew both started school this week. Will went on Tuesday for a short day to meet his teachers and new friends. Then he started his normal days on Wednesday. This year Will is going four afternoons a week so he is very excited. He has quite a few friends in his class from last year so he is happy!

Andrew started on Thursday (he only goes one day a week). He had a slightly shorter day the first week (he usually will have lunch at school and this week he didn't). He had no problems at all. We had gone last week to meet his teachers and see his classroom. The teachers met us at the door and he walked right in and never even turned around! I guess that is better than having a screaming child (been there before too!). When we picked him up he was as happy as could be!

Jack and Will both started their soccer games yesterday. This was Will's first soccer game and he was so excited. He smiled the whole time he was out there playing. He had so much fun. He scored five goals and can't wait to play again! He is in the white uniform in the picture below scoring the goal! Jack is playing on a new team this year and he seems to be doing well. He scored a goal yesterday (he will tell you two goals but I was watching and only saw one!!). His team had played together for a few years but he is doing fine as the "new kid"!

Jack is the one kicking the ball!

The first day of 1st grade!!!

Jack had his first day of school yesterday!! Hard to believe that he is in first grade already. Where does the time go! He only went to half day kindergarten so it was weird to drop him off and not go back until the afternoon to get him. He had a great day though. His only problem was having enough time to eat his lunch! I think there was too much goofing around with his friends and not enough eating. He came home and ate non stop for about a half hour and then felt much better! Off he went again this morning with a big smile on his face!! Both boys start soccer practice this week too so we are definitely getting back in the swing of things!! Will and Andrew both start next week so things will only get busier!
