The past week....

Ugh...what a week. We have had the stomach bug in our house for the past week. Andrew started last Thursday and had it until Monday. Jack and Will were sick on Tuesday and Wednesday. Andrew had it really bad and was miserable! I included a cute picture of him sleeping while he was sick. Will had to miss his end of the year program at school on Tuesday which was a bummer. Fortunately, Jack was better for his music program- Jack and the Beanstalk- on Wednesday. No, Jack was not Jack. He was playing the cowbell! It was a riot and he did great.

The weather has been so nice!! Shorts and sleeping with the windows open at night! The boys are so excited to be playing outside. They both missed the first t-ball practice last week which they were not happy about. They are on the same team which is great for us. They have Opening Day ceremonies next Saturday and the games start the following week. Will finished school this week and Jack is done on June 2nd- where did the year go!

Lots and lots of teeth......

So, Jack was scheduled yesterday to have some dental work done-he has not been blessed with the best teeth! They did it at the hospital so they could put him under while they did it. Jack has major dental anxiety and the work that they had to do- pulling teeth, putting in a spacer, doing a crown, etc....was going to take 3-4 long visits at the dentist so Tim and I made the decision to just have them to it all at once to eliminate some of the stress on him-not on us though! They were initially supposed to pull four teeth- 3 of those to make room for his permanent teeth that were coming in. He lost two of them since the scheduling of the surgery (2 months ago) so we were expecting just two to be pulled. They came out during the surgery and showed us the x-ray they had just taken of his top teeth. The two top middle teeth were loose (we knew that) and we could see the huge permanent teeth right there. The dentist was recommending that we go ahead and pull all four on the top to make room. Jack had a very small mouth and they are trying to give the teeth room to come in and come in straight. So all in all six teeth were pulled!!

He is doing great today. I kept him home from school just because he hasn't moved around a whole lot but he is feeling great. The spacer that they had to put in (he had a reabsorbing root on one of his molars that fell out!) is bothering him the most but he just has to get used to it. He can't stop looking at himself in the mirror and is excited about the $10 the tooth fairy brought- he got a little bonus since it was such a traumatic day! He is learning how to talk and eat without all of those teeth. Here is a picture of our toothless guy!

A night at the ballgame....

On Monday we went with Matt, Beth, Matthew, Callie, and Nate to the Rockies and Cardinals game. It was a nice night and the kids had a great time. As you can see from the pictures, they spent most of the game eating Cheetos! The Cardinals did win although we didn't make it until the end of the game- just the top of the 8th! The boys were a little bit conflicted as to who they wanted to win. They always pull for the Cardinals and they pull for the Rockies against everyone else except St. Louis. Will split his loyalty and wore something for each team!

We are in the end of school year mode here. Will is done May 22nd and Jack is done on June 2nd. Crazy how fast the year went. I'll update with some pictures as the big events occur!

Seriously....

Really, it's May 1st today. You would never know it with the snow that we had today. UGH! Enough already. It was 80 yesterday and it snowed about half of the day today. Supposed to be warm again tomorrow. It has done this a few times in the last few weeks. I'm tired of it!! Here are a few pics I took this morning.....

A trip to Philly...

This past weekend Andrew and I made a quick visit to Philly to visit Kevin, Becky, and my sweet nephew Brady! I had not met Brady yet so this trip was so special! We had such a great time. On Saturday, we went to the zoo down the street from Kevin and spent a lot of time playing and having fun. Andrew wasn't quite sure what to make of Brady. He was not a fan of me holding Brady but the weekend ended with the two of them having a little "conversation" of sorts with a bunch of baby jibberish! Brady is such a sweet, happy guy! I included a few pictures from our trip! Thanks again Kev and Becky for having us!

The boys had a great time here with Daddy. Will had a birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese on Saturday which Tim really enjoyed taking them to- hah! We had quite a few showings this weekend so they were in and out a lot. At least the snow from last week had melted and they were able to get outside and play some baseball- t-ball season starts soon!! Andrew and I were really excited to get home to see them Sunday night!

Creatures big and small...and another tooth!

We had an interesting weekend here. We have had a mouse in our garage for a month or so now. We finally decided that with the house on the market that we needed to get rid of it. We set some traps and nothing happened overnight. The next morning with all three boys watching, the mouse approached the trap and proceeded to get it's leg stuck in the trap. He tried to run away dragging the trap with him. I do NOT deal with rodents so the poor guy had to wait until Tim came home. The boys and I decided that we wanted to go set him free (Tim thought this a little extreme!) but with the trap attached we put him in a tupperware and drove to a nearby field and released him. Yes, this was a family event! The little guy was very into the camera!

On Saturday we went on a hike at a nearby state park. The boys loved it and it was great to get outside. At the beginning of the hike there were a bunch of deer right next to the trail. The boys had never been that close before!

After we came home from our hike, Jack lost his second tooth. He could not be more excited to go back to school today and show everyone!

A Day at the Zoo....

Well, it is spring break week here. The weather hasn't been that nice but today was better so we made the most of it and went to the zoo. We hadn't been for almost two months so it was time! Jack and Will love the zoo and Andrew is just starting to really get into. This was the first time that I didn't bring the stroller so Andrew just ran after his brothers naming as many animals as he could (with Jack and Will as brothers he actually can name so many!). Jack said that his favorite animal today was the ostrich, Will the zebras and elephants, and Andrew the elephants (although he shouted "stinky" when we went into the elephant house to see them!). I included a few pics from our day ( the wolf picture is for all of you who have come to the zoo with us and never seen the wolves- the boys wanted me to show everyone that they really are here!).
We put our house on the market again yesterday. We aren't going far-about 1/2 mile down the road. With three growing boys we need a little more space! We found a house that would be great for us so we are hopeful that everything works out. We are hoping that it doesn't take too long- it is hard to keep the house "show ready" with these three boys running around! Please keep your fingers crossed and we will keep you posted!
